Impact
Having launched Kibo XS device in July 2019, our deployments are currently across 5 countries, 15 states in India with 140+ customers. The Kibo Mobile App, rolled out in July 2019 is empowering 27,000+ visually impaired people (as on 07/11/2020) who have cumulatively accessed more than 2.5 Million+ documents, with 15 Million+ minutes of overall engagement time.

Our innovation comprises 2 products: 1. Kibo mobile-app 2. Kibo XS device Kibo mobile-app is a one-stop solution to access any kind of Printed, Handwritten and Digital content, in real-time, through audio, across multiple Indian and overseas languages, with an immersive reading and learning experience at par with sighted peers. While bringing access to 1 Million+ accessible books in collaboration with various online digital-libraries to download and listen in audio, Kibo app allows users to read any digital document - PDF, ePub, Daisy, Docx, Txt, Images and Audio across multiple Indian and overseas languages. While Kibo mobile-app also offers Capture and Read feature, not many of our Visually-impaired friends are dexterous enough to capture photos using their phone, and the task is even tougher when the content volume is large (for Higher-education, Competitive-exams and Workplace scenarios). Kibo XS device So, for Educational and Workplace scenarios, we have developed Kibo XS which is a table-lamp like device that reads any Printed and Handwritten Content across 12 Indian and multiple overseas languages in real-time through audio, translates text across 100+ languages and helps download the same across Editable formats like Doc, Docx and even PDF, while giving an option to save the documents on Kibo-cloud for multi-device access.

August-November 2018: We sold 12 Kibo devices and received orders for 30 more across NGOs, Blind Schools, Government Public libraries, Inclusive Schools and Universities. Kibo App: 1. October 2018: EMPOWER-2018 conference (IIT-D); Kibo app Beta-launch; 100 visually-impaired professionals from various IT companies globally 2. November 2018 - June 2019: Focused pilots with a closed group of 500 users across - Delhi, Nashik, Bangalore, Ahmedabad Partners involved: National Association for the Blind (NAB), Blind People’s Association (BPA), Saksham Trust, Enable India, Mitra Jyothi, Samarthanam Trust, YCMOU, National Federation of the Blind (NFB-Nashik), TCS, IIT-Delhi, JNU, WinVinaya Foundation
